Why does Alpine require defensible space clearance?
Alpine is a designated fire-hazard area, and defensible space around structures reduces the risk of a fire reaching your home and gives firefighters room to work if one does start. We clear brush and dead vegetation to help homeowners meet that requirement.
Can you work on lots with boulder outcrops or steep slopes?
Yes. Alpine's terrain includes plenty of granite outcrops and grade changes that limit truck access. Our crews carry debris out by hand when needed and plan each job around the specific slope and rock formations on your property, so nothing gets left because a truck couldn't reach it.
What kind of vegetation do you clear?
We clear dry chaparral, dead brush, fallen oak branches, and overgrown vegetation that adds to fire risk. We work around healthy trees and landscaping you want to keep, focusing on what's dead, dry, or too close to structures, and we can walk the slope with you first if you want input on what stays.
What happens to the brush and green waste you remove?
All green waste goes to certified disposal facilities. We sort what we collect, and less than 5% of the material we haul across our jobs ends up in a landfill. Anything reusable gets diverted from disposal when possible, and we handle the hauling ourselves rather than subcontracting it out.
